    Me
    Instructor Bio and Welcome Message:

My name is Ms. Bailey, and I am a Phoenix, Arizona native. I earned my B.A. in English and Secondary Education from Grand Canyon University in 1998, though I have been working in the field of education since 1990. I earned my Master’s Degree from Northern Arizona University in 2002, in the field of Curriculum and Instruction and Educational Leadership. I am currently working on my doctorate degree from Grand Canyon University, and I hope to graduate in December 2019. My area of study for my dissertation is Curriculum and Instruction along with Educational Leadership, and my research topic is on the impacts of traumatic grief on high school students. I have taught students from kindergarten through the University level. In addition to teaching at Linda Abril Educational Academy, I also teach courses at Phoenix College and Arizona State University. I recently moved to the Central Phoenix area after living in the South Mountain area of Phoenix for almost 20 years. I love hiking, swimming, reading, traveling, and spending time with my pets and family. Teaching is my passion, and I am here to guide you through a successful semester of Enrichment Seminar. Welcome to class!

    What is "Enrichment Seminar?"

I am excited to be your instructor for the Enrichment Seminar course! Enrichment Seminar is an English Elective, so by the end of the course, you will receive one half credit for an elective. This course focuses on critical thinking and critical reading skills to help prepare students for their futures beyond high school. By the time students exit the Enrichment Seminar Class, they are ready to move on to college, career, and life!
