A little about me......
I'm excited to be starting my 18th year of teaching and my third year at Phoenix Coding Academy. I love learning about science and technology as well as working closely with students and other teachers in a small school environment. Teaching here at Coding Academy is a great opportunity for me to share my passion for teaching science and for me to learn and grow as well. I am also the mother of a 13-year-old boy, a black lab puppy, and a grumpy chihuahua, all of whom keep me very busy when I'm not at school. My family and I spend lots of time outside gardening and actively exploring our world. I also love to cook, and like to incorporate the biology and chemistry behind the food that we eat as much as possible into the classroom. I teach on the 10th grade team, where we have created an integrated experience with all of the 10th grade courses through the use of our 4 investigations throughout the year.
