Mr. Phillip Wooley, M.Ed.

Mr. Wooley has been in the field of education for more than 25 years serving as a teacher, head football coach, department chair, staff developer, assistant principal and his current role as principal.  As the first teacher hired during the planning phase of Fairfax High School, he remains as one of the original staff members who has seen the growth and changes since the school opened in 2007.

He is an Arizona native, attending elementary school in the Isaac School District and graduating from Maryvale High School.  He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education and holds certifications in social studies, English as a Second Language, PE, and health.  Additionally, he obtained a Master’s Degree in Human Relations from Northern Arizona University.

Mr. Wooley and his wife Rachelle are long time Laveen residents and have been involved with many community organizations. They have two sons who attended and proudly graduated from Laveen schools.
