Hello and welcome to my webpage! I have over 20 years of experience working in social services and counseling, which include Child Protective Services, residential treatment programs, adoption services, school intervention and outpatient counseling.
This is my 13th year in Jaguarland. For the first 2 years, I was on campus full time as a Social Worker employed by the City of Phoenix school-based program. This is my 11th year as a Guidance Counselor. I am looking forward to many more years of working with Jaguarland students, parents, staff and community.
My personal goal as a Counselor is to support and guide students through academic, personal and social challenges of high school while preparing them for college, career, and life after high school. To accomplish this goal, I encourage students to maximize their opportunities for success by: engaging in activities(i.e. sports, clubs, volunteering), being responsible for their education: Education & Career Action Plan(ECAP), attend classes daily and timely, consider honors/AP courses) and utilizing campus support (tutoring, social services, college & career resource center).
I am also involved in various campus activities designed to support students while providing a memorable high school experience. Feel free to ask me about any of the following:
*National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) eligibility center & NAIA: Clearance process for student-athletes interested in playing Division 1, Division 2 or NAIA collegiate sports
*Aerospace and Engineering Academy
*College Shower: Annual celebration for seniors heading to a four-year university
*Senior Scholarship Awards: Program for seniors awarded scholarships for college
