    Here are your daily announcements for Friday, January 17th, 2020


       Today's weather report—

    It‘s a partly day today amd maybe a little bit of rain and is going to get up to about 65 degrees.

    It is going to cool down to about 44 degrees tonight.


    A big Congrats to Darron Holts for being selected as the Arizona State FCCLA member of the month in Culinary Arts! 

    Only 12 students are selected annually and that puts him in the running to be selected for FCCLA member of the year.

    The Boys soccer team has an away game while the girls soccer team has a home game today against Maryvale.

    The games start after school at 4:00 so come on out to cheer on the teams!


    The boys basketball team has away games while the girls basketball teams play here on the home courts against North.



    Attention all boys interested in trying out for boys volleyball, please stop by Coach Garcia’s room,  7203,

    and pick up a paper with open gym and tryout dates.

    Open gyms start on Tuesday, January 21st.

    See coach Olshan or Coach Garcia if you have any questions.


    Attention all softball players: Tryouts for the 2020 season will begin on February 10th out on the varsity softball field.

    All athletes must be cleared by the athletics office in order to participate.

    If you have any questions please see Coach Evans in room 2024.


      Attention Seniors: If you requested a refund for the Senior trip, you need to go to Ms. Daniel's room #4017!

    She needs more information to get it processed.


        Calling all Lions! Come and help the Lions for Christ discuss activities for the rest of the year.

    The Lions for Christ meet every Monday from 3:10 to 3:45 in room 9004. See you there!


    Hello Lions!

    The Be A Leader Club is meeting next week on Wednesday the 22nd in room 3001 right after school.

    Come join us and learn about scholarships for college.


    The early childhood education class is collecting new and gently used books as part of Literacy Lives.

    Books will be donated to a local Title 1 school.

    The Advisory class with most donated books will win a prize.

    Please help out by bringing K-8 level books to donate. See Mrs. Partin in room 7001 for more information.


     JROTC will be hosting the fall blood drive on February 4th

    Look for the sign up tables during both lunches near the cafeteria and JROTC concession stand.


    There will be an assembly on Friday for winter sports!

    Seniors wear red, Juniors wear black, Sophomores wear white and Freshmen wear green for the assembly!

    The Marines will be on our campus on Tuesday. They will have a table set up outside by the cafeteria.


    The Army will also be on our campus on Tuesday. They will be at a table just outside the cafeteria.


    There will be no school on Monday in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. 

    The campus will be closed, so we will see everyone back here on Tuesday.
