Today's weather report— It is a sunny day today and is going to get up to 99 degrees.
It is going to cool down to about 79 degrees tonight.
The Lady Lions took 2nd place yesterday with Karen Castillo taking 2nd place. She had the shot of the day hitting the flagstick on hole number 7 at the Palo Verde Golf Course. Diana was 5th and Nathaly was 6TH. We have practice right after school today. Our next match is Monday the 24th at Encanto 9.
Last Night Alhambra Cross Country took on 32 schools at the Valley Christian Invite. Nick Morales came out with a medal for taking 20th place racing against 188 runners. The Super Fresh Freshman, Fibi Hernandez, led the girls across the finish in only her second race of the season, Great Job, FIBI !!!!!!.
Next week the lion will have a small meet on Wednesday and on Friday will compete against the best country teams in the nation in the Nike Desert Twilight in Casa Grande, Arizona. Don’t Cheat the Grind Lions!
Congrats to the Boys Golf Team for picking up their 5th win of the season, last night! The team was led by Senior’s Enrique Gonzalezpico and German Lopez. They tied with a match overall low score of 48. The Lions also received great scores from Freshman Leo Robledo, Sergio Pedraza, and Benji Delcid.

The Varsity football team has an away game today against Brophy. Good luck lions!
The JROTC will be hosting a blood drive next on Tuesday September 25th from 10:30 am – 2:30 pm in the North Gym. There will be a sign up station inside the cafeteria during both lunches.

Want to show how diverse Alhambra is? Come join the international club! We have our meetings every Wednesday during 5th lunch. We do loads of exciting projects and trips. Come and join the fun. We will have pizza available to anyone who joins us on Wednesday, September 26th, in room 7012 during 5th lunch.
Alhambra’s Pride Alliance, formerly known as GSA, is looking for new members! Want a place to hang out and make new friends? Need support or have questions about the LGBTQ+ community in Phoenix? Our first meeting will be on Thursday, September 27th!

Attention Juniors - the PSAT will be given October 24th in the lecture hall.
All juniors who are planning on attending college and are interested in taking the PSAT can sign up in the bookstore! The cost is $16.00 and the deadline to sign up is October 3rd. All students who sign up will receive a study guide. There are only 75 seats available so it is on a first come first serve basis.

There is a completion lab Saturday morning from 8:00 am to 11:00am. The library is open so this is a good time to come in and get that report or project done. Meet your friends and work on that group project, or just come in a get that work done before time runs out.
