    Background

I grew up in inner-city West Phoenix, near 43rd Ave. and McDowell Rd.  I am a product of Mitchell Elementary, Isaac Middle School, and graduated from North High School in 2001 from the International Baccalaureate Magnet Program.  At North High I was also involved in sports, including track, cross country, basketball, and soccer.  I was also a member of Student Government as a Junior and Senior.  After high school I went on to Arizona State University, where I joined Tau Psi Omega Multicultural Fraternity Inc., a community service based Fraternity with a focus on family, culture and education.  I graduated from ASU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education – English.  I began my career at Cesar Chavez in 2002 and continue to work as a Champion.

I am currently teaching Junior English (English 5-6) and the Advisor for Cesar Chavez High School Student Government.
