    Hi,

    Welcome to my webpage!

I have taught at Maryvale High School for 13 years.  Before teaching at Maryvale, I taught Language Arts and Social Studies at Isaac Middle School for seven years.  I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History in 1999 and a Masters of Curriculum and Instruction English as a Second Language in 2003.  I am also accredited in English.  Currently, I am teaching U.S History and Student Government (StuGo).  Some of my favorite hobbies include archaeology, horticulture, and traveling.

I have traveled extensively: Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, China, Russia, Romania, Hungary, Germany, Norway, Denmark, Belgium, Sweden, Switzerland, France (2x's), Italy (3x's), England (3x's), Greece (2x's), Turkey, Kenya (2x's), Tanzania, Bahrain, Oman, Canada (3x's), Mexico (7x's), Costa Rica, and Cuba.  I use my experiences to enhance the curriculum.

I also sponsor the Environmental Action and Research for Tomorrow's Habitat (E.A.R.T.H.) Club.  Please visit that webpage for more information about our club activities and meeting times.

This webpage has several options to click from in order to gain more insight into U.S. History, Student Government, and the EARTH Club.  Please familiarize yourself with the links on the left.

I am located in room 704 from 8:30 to 4:00 with my Lunch hour from 12:25-1:10.

I hope we have a great year together!

    Respectfully,

    Chris Turner
