    Being college- and career-ready and life-prepared requires that our scholars explore their career options while in high school. These online resources provide all the information and support materials required to fully explore career options and prepare for college. When working on PXU computers, there is automatic access to these online resources. Usernames and passwords may be required when trying to access some of these resources remotely. Visit the Chavez Library for all the login information required for remote access.

     College Depot

    College Depot, located conveniently at the main Phoenix Public Library, is a FREE full-service college resource center, including college planning, financial aid, scholarships, GED and high school connections. Plus, students may get assistance with completing the FAFSA, college applications, and personal statements.


    EBSCO LearningExpress Library provides PrepSTEP for academic skill-building, test preparation, and career exploration. PrepSTEP gives students access to test preparation for ACT, ASVAB, PSAT, SAT, AP, and much more.

    Edgenuity provides online classes and ACT virtual tutoring.

    South Mountain Community College - as of March 19, 2020 the Chavez HS SMCC College Advisor, Ms. Jacklyn Gueyger, is available to virtually assist students with their SMCC (or any MCCCD college) enrollment process, as well as provide support with their FAFSA and scholarship applications.
