• Graphic Design

    This is a foundation course that will introduce students to fundamental concepts of digital media and design. Students will apply elements and principles of art to the use of computer software to create examples of computer graphics in commercial applications. Students will explore digital art making tools and technologies to create their designs. This course will provide an opportunity for students to explore and create digital artwork using emerging technologies. Emphasis will be given to idea generation, digital processes and development of tool skills. This course will provide students with the opportunity to research and provide a variety of work that will be included in the breadth section of a college level portfolio.
    Expect to Learn:
    • Combine art and technology
    • Develop personal logo and brand identity
    • Use Photoshop Illustrator and InDesign
    • Create logos, posters, websites, label design, and advertisements
