Mr. Robert P.Ramirez is proud to have had the honor to facilitate Science at Cesar Chavez High School. Born in Phoenix in the late 50's, I became an champion of the Roosevelt and Phoenix Union High School Districts graduating in 1976. Received an Associate's Degree in 1978, from Glendale Community College; then joined the Operating Engineer's Union as a Heavy-Duty Welding Mechanic with a Journeyman's Licence from Central Arizona College in January of 1991.Earned a Bachelor's of Science Degree from ASU in that same year. Became a substitute teacher while getting certified with a teaching degree from the University of Ottawa in 1995. Hired with the Phoenix Union High School District in July of 2000; I continued the Agribusiness Magnet Program. Today I am teaching Freshman Physical Science and loving every single minute of it. I have now facilitated as many as 19 different classes for the 19 years I have been at Cesar Chavez High School. Welcome # 20 and after that #21 or who knows; retirement?????Coached competitors in 12 different FFA catagories from Agronomy and Agriscience to Horsemanship and Veterinarian Science. Coached the first Varsity Boys Soccer Win in 2001. In 2002 and 03 went with the Girls Soccer Program to the State Play-offs. Coached the 2005 Softball Team to the State Playoffs. I played, learned and grew up in South Phoenix, and am very proud to serve the South Phoenix and Laveen communities. GO CHAMPIONS FOREVER!
