    Mrs. Nikki Alward joined Central High School Administration
    in July of 2014 as the Assistant Principal for Registration. She had previously worked in the Scottsdale Unified School District as an Assistant Principal at Arcadia High School for five years and taught Economics and Government at Desert Mountain High School.  Mrs. Alward earned a B.A. from Purdue University and a Masters in Educational Leadership from Arizona State University.  She lives in Gilbert with her husband and two children, Ava and Caden.

    In 2013, Dr. Michael Gard began his work at Central High as
    the Dean of Students.  During 2014-2015 school year he will serve as the Assistant Principal of Instruction.  Dr. Gard served the district since 2006 when he first began his career as a science teacher at Alhambra.  Dr. Gard later worked as a science teacher and then the engineering teacher\instructional leader at Betty Fairfax High School.  He has a B.S. from NAU, M.Ed. from ASU, and most recently earned his Doctorate in Educational Administration and Supervision at ASU.

    Dr. Williams is returning to Central High School as the Assistant Principal for Student Success, having served most recently as the LIFT (Leaders in Full Time Training) at Trevor Browne High School.  Dr. Williams taught English at several schools within the district, including Central, and also taught English and ELL in New York City.  He has a BA in English from the University of Arizona, an MA in TESOL from Hunter College of the City University of New York, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Innovation from Arizona State University.
