MARYVALE IS A CLOSED CAMPUS. No student may leave campus until the end of the school day.
PANTHERTOWN: Camp applications are available in rooms 421 and 704. They are due by September 23rd.
MARYVALE THEATRE: ”Triangle,” a riveting drama about women’s rights and the role of immigrants in America will be presented on September 21st and 22nd at 6:00 p.m. in the auditorium. Cost is $4.00 at the door.
TRAVEL CLUB: There is a travel club meeting next Thursday, September 28th in room 711 after school. If you are a travel club member and would like to attend our field trip to Slide Rock State Park over fall break, please come to the Travel Club meeting on Thursday, 9/28. Permission slips will be handed out at this meeting. We have 27 available spots in the vans, so make sure you are at this meeting so you can get a permission slip to reserve your spot.
GIRLS’ BASKETBALL :Tryout informational meeting will meet on Wednesday, September 27th at 2:35 until 3:15 in the auditorium. Any girls interested in joining our Girls’ Basketball team, please attend.
VORACIOUS READERS: There are still three novels left of The Mountain Between Us by Charles Martin. If you are planning to participate on October 18th, please drop by and pick up your novel.
NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY: All perspective members need to complete their portfolios by Tuesday, September 26th. If you still have some questions, just drop by room 100 for guidance.
ATTENTION STUDENTS: Please make sure you fill out and return a new lunch application immediately. Do your part to make sure that Maryvale may continue to offer you free breakfast and lunch. If you need a bus card, please bring your completed lunch and bus application to Mrs. Jackson in the cafeteria.
BOYS’ SOCCER: If you are planning to try out for the soccer teams, you need to be cleared through our Athletic department to participate in pre-season conditioning and to participate during the soccer season.
BOYS’ GOLF: Congratulations to Maryvale’s boys’ golf team for taking second in Tuesday’s match vs. North and Carl Hayden. The top 2 medalists were our own Jose Camacho and Ryan Gillette, taking first and second place medals. Great job team! Keep practicing and striving for excellence.
TUTORING ASSISTANCE: Do you need some extra help? Maybe you are struggling with a reading, math or writing concept. You may be looking for some extra support to get ready for the upcoming ACT, PSAT, or AIMS testing. Well, have no fear. Saturday school tutoring starts this Saturday and will occur twice a month.
If you cannot make it on Saturday, there is also an opportunity to gain tutoring support after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3-5p.m. Check with your advisory teacher or school counselor about how you can get support. Invest in yourself and get help.
