This application process is designed to ensure that applicants to Bioscience understand our program, are committed to academics, and have interest in science related fields. Students who properly complete the application process will be considered for admission to Phoenix Union Bioscience High School. Admission is not on a first-come-first-served basis.
Application Process Instructions:Deliver all application materials in person (applicant or parent/guardian) to Bioscience High School no later than 3:00pm on Thursday, January 26th. Applications and their components must be complete to be submitted. Incomplete application packets will not be accepted or reviewed. Parent Orientation and Student Interactive Sessions:
Each applicant and at least one parent/guardian must attend one of the Parent Orientation/Student Interactive Sessions (see dates above.) A Spanish interpreter will be provided for both sessions. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the Orientation/Interactive Session. Late arrivals may be asked to reschedule. During the Orientation/Interactive Session, applicants and parents will participate in a staff facilitated dialogue, where students will have an opportunity to share more information about themselves through structured activities, discussion, and a short reflection. All applicants will be notified of their status in writing in Februrary.
If you are accepted for enrollment at Bioscience High School, a registration packet will be sent to you via U.S. mail. Complete and submit the registration packet to Bioscience High School in March. Enrollment packets received after March 3, 2017 may result in the applicant being placed on a waiting list or otherwise being denied admission.
